Good morning Janet. Happy Mother’s Day! I wanted to update you on little Kodi. He was a perfect gentleman on the way home yesterday no accidents and did not throw up. He settled in so much better than I expected. Such a happy little man. He love to cuddle and his tail never stops wagging. Last night was so easy. We went to bed at 9:45pm and he slept until 12:45am. I took him to his little patch of grass and he immediately potties. Back to bed and he slept until 5:45am. I am trying to be as consistent as possible with his potty breaks and he has only had two little accidents. It took him a while to eat, but he finally ate and drank last night before bed and again this morning.

Cody has been having so much fun here in San Francisco!! He’s now had all of his boosters so he’s been having a ton of fun with his puppy buddies at puppy preschool. And today, he had his first haircut and he’s looking amazing! (He also loves stealing my socks…) He charms everyone he sees on the street and he’s the kindest puppy around!
He does enjoy finding the most comfortable pillow to make his nest, which is frequently near his human sister, who is also his best friend. He’s made an excellent alarm clock for the kids as they wake up with a smile as his tail smacks them on the face! Thank you again for such an amazing puppy!! I just can’t get over how perfect this little puppy is. She has slept the last three nights from 10 PM till 6 AM. She’s eating and drinking. She’s just perfect. She pees where I tell her to pee. Her poop is a little off and in weird places but I’m working on that. I just can’t get over how perfect she is. I just want to thank you for her excellent excellent temperament, she’s just so sweet and content.

Bandit (aka: BabyDog) is our little love...there are no words to describe the love he has brought into our lives. He is the best little "big brother" to our choc lab, Arlo...and definitely in charge of all of us. We could not love him more than we do. And I have to say he is the cutest of all the Yorkies we have ever seen, and that's a very objective view. Hope all is well with you, keep doing what you do, we'll think about getting another Yorkie down the road and of course would only consider you to make that happen. Here is a pic I took yesterday of our boys...it's crazy how gentle Arlo is with Bandit, although I can't say the same for Bandit...he hangs off of Arlo's mouth at times and Arlo caters to him. Labs are amazing, such gentle sweet dogs and a perfect match for our energetic little Bandito.

I can’t say enough about Janet & Don of Mirage Yorkies. My wife and I have purchased from these breeders before (about 2 1/2 years ago) and was so happy that we returned for another Puppy. Our original puppy was a Male Parti (Enzo), so we wanted to grow our Yorkie family with a Female Traditional (Zoey). I’m not sure what’s in the water at Mirage Yorkies, but they breed the smartest and most wonderful Yorkies. Zoey came to her forever home about 4 weeks ago and has been an absolute joy. In this short amount of time, she is already sleeping through the night, 75% potty trained and doing very well with her obedience training. She is still very small, about 2.5 lbs, and was 2 lbs when we picked her up. She is fearless and has the heart of a lion. She gets along very well with her brother and loves nothing more than wanting to play and chase him around. She loves to cuddle and we can’t take her out of the house without basically being mobbed (not kidding). I have no experience with any other breed of dogs except Yorkies, and let me tell you something important, they will adapt if you are patient. One of the most important parts of having any puppy in my opinion is their ability to play alone with their toys. This gives the puppy parents a minute of sanity and allows our Fur babies a little freedom without close supervision all the time (I know this doesn’t always apply to every puppy). Don’t get me wrong, puppies are a lot of work, so expect the unexpected. The process of buying a puppy from Mirage was seamless and you need to go in understanding that these are fairly expensive dogs. Janet & Don communicated with us during the entire process, and they were just as amazing to deal with the second time around. If you want an AKC approved Purebred Yorkie, you have come to the right place. You need to understand that this breed is very needy and requires a lot of attention (especially in the beginning). That said, you will have a wonderful companion (or 2) for a long and loving adventure. I highly recommend Mirage, and trust you are getting quality that has been going on for more than 20 years. The weekly pictures were such a treat...we counted down days to the next update! ❤.
Griffin is the absolute best puppy we could have ever wished for! He is so sweet and snuggly but only after he plays with his toys. He is also an incredible sleeper and doing well with potty training. Our family feels complete with Griffin and we have never laughed so much as in the past month. Our hearts are full. Thank you so much for all that you and Don do raising sweet healthy puppies.

Hi Janet and Don!
We thought you might like Apache’s 10 week old update with a couple pics and short video of him. All is well and Apache is healthy and weighed in at 2 lbs and 2 oz (34 ounces) at the Vet. If we read the growth chart correctly he is still tracking to be around 5 1/2 lbs. Apache is a smart and inquisitive little guy. He’s learned a few rooms in his new home and gets along quite well. Attached is a video clip of Apache “meeting his reflection”. Our thought is that he may think that it’s one of his siblings! He’s batting .800 on his potty training. He’s had only a few accidents primarily on his “exploration tours”. We’ve all bonded and must say that he is a pistol; keeping us on our toes. Thank you again!! Mike & Sharen |

Good morning! We decided on Theodore Binks for his name. We can call him Teddy or Binks for short. He had a great day yesterday once we got home, and a great last night! He is so sweet and smart!!! He ate really well, played a lot, he definitely feels comfortable here. He's seriously the best!

Hi Janet,
I just wanted to give you an update on how Jonah is doing (Not sure if I told you his name but its Jonah Kai along with multiple nicknames). We were finally able to get him to our vet this week as it has been very busy to get an appointment. He is 1.9 lbs. and is very healthy. His next appointment will be next month for his final puppy shots. He is fitting in nicely with both of my other dogs and learning to use the puppy pads. He is enjoying lots of dog treats, carrots, playing tug of war, he has learned to sit so far, and of course terrorizes his puppy sisters. He is such a joy to have around. Our little princess travels well. She slept in a little crate between mine and Jerry’s pillows last night so she slept really well. She is having fun playing. She cocks her head when we talk to her. She is just perfect. Wanted to give you an update on her. She’s pretty settled in. Mia isn’t quite sure yet but she’ll warm up. She definitely knows her name is baby. She’s soooo smart and so sweet. I just didn’t want you to wonder how she’s doing. Thank you again.

Good afternoon Janet. Just wanted to let you know how our Handsome little fur baby is doing. He is truly the centerpiece of the family. He is still a little shy when he leaves the house, but he thinks he can take on King Kong when the doorbell rings. 😂 Thanks you again for the wonderful gift that keeps on giving!

I was looking for a Yorkie puppy who came from a healthy environment as well as one that cared about their animals. I have been very happy with my new puppy from Janet at Mirage Yorkies. His temperament is excellent and his health is great especially for such a little guy! Janet was so good at communicating with me along the way sending me photos and weight every week. If I had a question or concern she answered me right away. She also gives the dogs a home to live in as pups rather than a small tiny cage. You can tell her and her husband really give the puppies love. They are honest and have a clean home. They will gladly help you with any concern because they want it to be a happy match. If I ever get another one I know where to go! Luv my baby boy.

Hi Janet,
My wife and I want to thank you for the wonderful gift that is our loving puppy (Enzo). Our lives have truly changed and it’s hard to imagine being without him. It has been a little over 2 months since we received him from you (4 1/2 months old today) and he has been amazing. In this short period of time, he has learned to sit, lay down, shake hands, fetch, sleep all night and is about 90% potty trained (without once using pee pads). I am not a professional trainer. He is just that smart. He explodes with personality and loves to play, cuddle, go on walks and of course eat everything in site. He is a complete showstopper when he goes anywhere (like a little rockstar). He has been completely vaccinated and the Vet staff adore him. We are completely happy and satisfied with our Fur Baby and Mirage Yorkies. Don’t be surprised to see us on your waiting list in the future for a companion for Enzo. You may not remember me but I got a puppy from you in June 2019. Her name is Riley aka “Lola”. She is doing great and has been a true blessing through this pandemic year. He slept surprisingly well these past few days. He actually does super well in a crate over night as if he has done it his whole life. He eats well, sleeps a lot since we tire him out, and is in his exploring phase.
Oh and he wont pee or poop unless he has his pee pads!
I swear this dog is like 1 in a million.

We found Mirage Yorkies online and immediately felt this was a great breeder to contact for a new fur baby. Their website was full of helpful information along with a variety of past clients that gave strong testimonials. We filled out the online application and immediately heard back from Janet.
Our experience with Mirage Yorkies was absolutely incredible. Janet sent us weekly updates on the progress of our bundle of joy, Henry David, along with a photo shoot of pictures so we would have the opportunity to see how he was growing and developing. After the 1st vaccination we were able to meet Henry David, his mama and daddy, (Cassidy/Bravo) and his siblings. This was such a joyous day of bonding. It was also amazing to see that he recognized his name! On our first veterinarian visit, the doctor was pleased with the health of our little guy, which really says a lot about the environment he was raised in. Henry David is so loving, adorable and has such a big, big personality. He immediately adjusted to his new home and we love him so very much! Thank you Janet for doing what you do! The drive back home went well… The girls are both doing fine and are getting along very well (I’ve attached a couple of videos of them playing together, this was last night when we got home). A huge thank you to mirage Yorkies for being the best breeder we have encountered. We have 5 Yorkies, 2 of whom were purchased from a puppy mill (didn’t know it at the time). The quality and care that mirage Yorkies puts into their friendly companions has been the best we have come across. Janet always responds to my question and you can definitely tell their is a lot of love coming from them towards the dogs. We purchased 2 of our little fur babies from them and have been completely happy and satisfied with our dealing with mirage Yorkies. We just were just thinking of you as today is Twinkie’s 9th birthday, and the time has really flown by! As you can imagine, she rules the house with her gigantic personality and is the light of our lives. She’s a real show stopper too - goes with us everywhere we do and we got stopped, sometimes mobbed, by admirers - she literally takes their breath away. We both have had many different dogs throughout our life times but Twinkie is unquestionably the finest and most intelligent dog either of us have ever had. She has always and still does enjoy excellent health and is also quite the trainer - we recently adapted a very shy Shih-Poo pup and Twinkie not only helped bring her out of her shell, but trained her on all the house rules and life routines as well. Hello Janet!
Bella and I just got home from her vet visit. Our Dr. LOVED her! She's such a good girl. All went well and we have our next appointment in 3 weeks. Each day has been better and Bella is definitely feeling more comfortable. No more crying at night, she's eating and drinking, she's pottying well, and playing more. She's definitely teething - she just wants to gnaw on my fingers. I got her interested in a couple of chew toys and that's been good. I introduced Bella to my parents and they fell in love with her as well. Thank you, again, for such a beautiful Yorkie. She is my little sunshine and I love her so much already! I wanted to just send you a quick pic and update on Dixie, who we actually named Winnie. It took about a week, but the name Winnie kept sticking and it fits her perfectly. She is sweet, spunky and determined. As you can see, she was determined to be different and kept working away at the tape on her ears. She was right though, because her ears are one of the cutest things about her. Everyone at our vet adores her and she's doing great health wise. She has no fear, has endless energy but will cuddle up with us and makes sure she is by someone at all times. We love her so, so much. I've wanted a Yorkie for years...but wanted to be sure I was adopting a quality puppy! I searched the internet for quite some time...and happened upon Janet and Don Blanchard's "Mirage Yorkies" in Arizona! (My permanent residence is in Virginia...and I have a small condo in AZ for when I visit my children! Perfect, right?!) "Mirage Yorkies" puppies are BEAUTIFUL...and HEALTHY! I knew from the photos on their website that Janet & Don were caring and quality breeders!! The time was right...so I contacted Janet ...and the amazing journey to get my sweet Zoey began!
I can't say enough wonderful things about Janet Blanchard. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable about AKC Yorkshire Terrier breed standards, but she views each and every one of her puppies as part of her family!! She provides gentle and positive socialization, ensures a clean and healthy environment for her puppies, and has always been exceptionally responsive in answering my questions (and there have been MANY)! Janet continues to provide encouragement, support, and her friendship! My little Zoey is beautiful, healthy, sweet, and so bright!! From the day I brought her home at 10 weeks of age, she's been able to sit on command (little pieces of shredded carrots are a favorite training treat)! She's also doing an amazing job with potty training (both indoors on pee pads as well as outside on her "porch potty"), and we're currently (at 13 weeks) learning to walk on a leash (indoors only until after she's fully immunized)!! Soon Zoey and I will fly back home to Virginia so she can meet her toy poodle brothers!! And a new "Zoey Adventure" will begin! Thank you Janet, for helping us complete our beautiful family!!! Zoey is doing great! She did not get car sick on the way home. She slept cuddled up to my daughter all night. She hasn't had any accidents and ate well last night and this morning. My son is on babysitting duty today and has been told to feed her every few hours. She is so very sweet and is quickly getting very spoiled. Also, Sunday she will be going to the vet for a wellness check. I will give her health records, so that she knows that she just got her shot and we can schedule one for the next 3 wks. I will keep you informed on how she is doing and e-mail you after dr. appt. She is adorable and we love her already. Thank you so much for raising such a sweet girl.

Here is Sammie, our new male Yorkie pup from Mirage Yorkies. After much searching for a local breeder we came upon Mirage Yorkies online. Just looking at their parents and puppies we knew the quality was there. We reserved this male and began the wait until he was ready to come home. Janet provided great weekly pictures & we began to fall in love. When we were finally able to visit at 7 weeks we knew we had made the right decision. The environment in which the puppies were raised and the care & love they got was obvious. This is no puppy mill! It's also far beyond a pet store where the puppies spend all day waiting for a moment out of their cage. We wanted a local breeder so that we could see our dog. Buyer beware-there are a lot of scams out there and we've heard a lot of sad stories... It's just not worth it! Sammie had his first visit to the vet and we were told we got a really healthy puppy. Now as far as looks-his coat is thick and shiny and he has the most beautiful face!! We've done ALOT of looking and I have yet to see a cuter puppy. Personality wise-he is happy and playful and has made a very easy transition to our home. We could not be happier that we chose Mirage Yorkies! 😊 ️Patty & Scott

We had a grooming appointment so I figured this would be a good time to send you a photo of our little girl. She was spayed last month and is still teething - we're waiting patiently for those baby teeth to be pushed out! She is a happy, loving and playful little girl and everyone just adores her! Again, I can't thank you enough - she was meant to be! Hope all is well with you - I keep watching the new pups on your website - fun to see, but I still think I got the pick of the litter!!! We had found the Mirage Yorkie website a few months after we lost our beloved Yorkie Trevor. Mirage Yorkies has some of the best looking and AKC standard looking Yorkies on the Web. And by the way they are here in Arizona, our last two Yorkies had come from Georgia.
We talked to Janet back then, but she did not have a male puppy that we knew we had to have, and there had not been any for awhile on her web page. That is, until a 4 week old parti Yorkie puppy, now named Dylan, stood off that web page and we knew it was him we had been waiting for.
We have had some past experience with breeders and particularly with Yorkie breeders, and we have never met a more professional, caring and loving breeder as Janet and Don Blanchard. It was very evident that their depth of knowledge of the Yorkshire breed and puppy care in general was foremost on their minds when finding parents for their Yorkie puppies.
We have built a relationship with Janet since Dylan was 4 weeks old, and tomorrow he will be 4 months old, and he is a smart and adorable example of the Yorkshire breed. So I am writing this so other Yorkie lovers know about the trust you can have getting a Yorkie puppy from Mirage Yorkies.

I was looking at your site today, which I do every once in awhile just to see all of your beautiful babies. We bought our Cha-Chi back in June. Thought I'd give you a quick update. He is the best Yorkie child we could ever imagine! He is so well mannered, except for his incessant licking which we are working on :). He is the only Yorkie out of 3 previous babies that is 100% potty trained as well, which I find to be an almost miracle. In August we felt that he was too lonely during the day while we were at work so we decided to get him a little sister, Bella. He is so protective and loving with her.
Cha-Chi was my husband's first dog ever so he will always hold a special place in our hearts, and my husband now says that he will never live without a dog.
I am including a picture of them together two days after Bella joined our family and another, last month, at the groomers.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful gift / addition to our family!!

I just want to say 'Thank you' again for such a beautiful Yorkie puppy ('Ariel', date of birth 11/26/11).
Zoey is settling into the family wonderfully- healthy and growing. We just love her. She has received her 2nd shots (she was not too pleased with it, but tolerated well). The vet office was impressed with her clean stool sample, also. She might even be smarter than her new brother as she has already figured out the pee pad and goes to look for one when she has to go!
Her favorite activity, other than snuggling, is playing and wrestling with her Yorkie brother. They both have an amazing amount of energy!
Attached are 2 photos of her displaying a couple of her preferred 'snuggle and perch' places. The lab is quite tolerant of her affections.

As my husband and I walked in for our first vet visit, after picking our little Gypsy up from Mirage Yorkies, we could sense the vet was concerned when he saw his little patient was a Yorkie. Evidently, he had seen many sad cases of ill bred little pups with numerous problems. But, after giving Gypsy a check up his last words were, "You got a good one". It is evident when you get your precious cargo home that Janet and Don have done an outstanding and professional job in taking this little Yorkie from birth to our new home 8 weeks after her birth. She is one happy, healthy, bundle of puppy love. Janet has been patient, understanding and very helpful with our numerous "help please" emails. We are first time dog owners and we had lots of questions and concerns which she helped us through. It is comforting to know that there are responsible and reputable Yorkie breeders still around. We have attached a picture of our fabulous little Gypsy from one of Mirage Yorkie's litters.

Hi Janet
Just wanted to tell you how much we are loving Devon. He has been very healthy. We just had him in for a little minor surgery to remove a stubborn baby tooth they were afraid would be infected if we didn't have it removed.
If you recall Don wasn't thrilled about getting a new puppy and when we take him to get groomed he can hardly wait for him to come home. They walk every morning together.
I see you have a new nursery now. I have referred you to several people looking for a new puppy
We will always be grateful he is in our life.

Just wanted to let you know how much we love "Tessa" Gracie! She is such a joy! She is a curious, happy puppy running, playing, pouncing and all! Was a big hit at her first doctor appt too! She has adjusted well and is using pee pad, eating well, pooping, responding to her name, and "no". She certainly had a wonderful start in life from you! She loves to lay at my feet all day while I work. Attaching a few pics. We love love love her! She is a great little girl!

I hope all is well. I just wanted to send some pictures of Maddie and let you know what all is well as she approaches her first birthday. She has been my little adventure copilot and together we have seen camping trips, hikes, the beach and relatives in California! Next up is Texas to see some more relatives. Also, she is famous too! She is in my dog trainer's website and DVD doing obedience training and following basic commands. I just wanted to say thanks again for such a great llittle puppy. Everyone loves her and she has been the best furbaby ever.

Roxie is doing great with her crate training. She hasn't had a accident since I brought her home. She is also getting along well with Rosey her new playmate. Thanks a whole bunch. She is a very beautiful and smart girl. I'll be sending you pics real soon. Take Care!
